Session 15: Ruins part 2

General Summary

Our heroes start out with an epic battle with a mimic. Our heroes enter a fancy room:    As you enter the room, the doors on either side bang closed. Above each door are the 21 symbols. In the center of the room you see a raised well that encircles a button, like a moat. The button has a carving of a symbol of a hand. Around the inside of the well, above the water are drawings of weapons. The water shimmers with a strange glow.   First Daeran tried poking the shimmering water with his rapier and discovered that the water would enchant weapons. Our heroes took turns enchanting and attempting to enchant everything they were carrying. Soon, out of curiosity, Daeran pushed the button in the middle of the well, it started a countdown. Rorick discovered that every time you push the button the countdown restarts. Our heroes continually pushed the button to restart the countdown as the decided what to do. Eventually, after investigating and searching everything they let the countdown finish only to find that the doors opened.    Our heroes continued to explore the ruins, they fought some mimics and gargoyles, Zanril soaked most of the damage. They ended the session in an alchemy lab with lots of interesting potions.
