The ringing of Jingles' saddle and the sight of Happy Jack's Caravan of Carnival Oddities brings instant joy to any child of Amberfall. During the month of Baudrim every year, Happy Jack makes his trek from the west to Amberfall to put on a week-long carnival and funhouse experience for all to enjoy. Children save all year to be able to spend their coppers on games and rides for their amusement to give them an escape from the drear of home life in the city.
Leading the procession is none other than Happy Jack, the fiery red clown dressed in mummer's clothing, riding his famous black steed Jingles. Towing behind Jingles is a small carriage house, that opens up to be the main funhouse attraction. Behind them the organ grinder, Matilda, riding her elephant Onya and playing the most wonderful of tunes to draw the crowds in. The rest of the parade consists of various carts and sideshows. Vaeril the Axethrower, and his pet sloth, provide a game of ax tossing to those who think their aim well. Elmwa the Bearfolk, pulls her cart of woodcarving tools made small enough for children to use. Ajotte Forked-Tongue has a small cart of confections and sweet that many look forward to each and every year. Thirg One-Tusk uses her magic to aid carnival-goers in a game of "Catch the Spotted Koi" so that no hooks are used. Grodrion Gold Scale, riding his illustrious lavender painted horse, sets up a shop to sell all manner decorative skulls and petrified animals.
