Aohr

Aohr, God of Chaos

Aohr is second oldest of the Elder Gods God of Order, responsible for the chaos that birthed demons into the world and indirectly responsible for the birth of magic. Aohr is very rarely worshipped openly in the world, his name is synonymous with evil deeds, madness and destruction. Those that do worship him are seen as either evil themselves, or having been manipulated by another of his worshippers.   Due to his dark nature, Aohr is often associated with necromancy, despite never having practiced it himself - or at least, there being no stories detailing as such. He is often also associated with disease and plague, and all forms of disaster, people believing that the chaotic energies that cause such disasters originate from him.

Domains

Aohr is associated with the domains of death, madness and pestilence.    In practice, Aohr is worshipped by necromancers and, being the chief deity associated with death, this is not surprising. Additionally, Aohr is said to govern the chaos that permeates the world He is also known as the 'Father of monsters', with it being said that all of the monsters that inhabit Allansia were born of Aohr's unrelenting drive to see chaos and destruction wrought upon the land.

Iconography

Across Allansia, there exist many subtle images depicting death and destruction in their various forms. Worshippers of Aohr tend to keep their existence secret and so, there doesn't exist a singular symbol representing him. Instead, various images, each depicting death in it's various forms are used: a withered tree, a grinning skull, a dying rose or, even more abstract, a small 'x'. In all instances however, these icons are black in colour, and hidden from plain sight.

Worship

Worship to Aohr is taboo across all of Allansia. There exist no known temples in his name, and no statues representing him appear in any of the imagery, not even in The Temple of the Gods where even Taya has a small shrine.    Sacrifice is often the mark of worship of Aohr, the blood of the victim drained into goblets and then consumed by the individual.
