The Lush Meadows of the Eastern Reach
If you can find a Gatekeeper (one can usually be found in your closest metropolitan area), ask them to open a door to the Eastern Lea. In this largely underpopulated area of the Other Plane, the land is bursting with life of all shades. You might find the fields of wildflowers and wild plants the area is named for, or traverse through marshes and wetlands in the far north. No matter where you are, The Eastern Lea will astound you with the variety of species and microbiomes found within. It's alive, it's beautiful, and it's full of color.
Those few who live on the outskirts are generally welcoming and able to help you, although make no mistake- these people are in no way stupid, and are rarely able to be deceived. As long as you treat them nicely, and are respectful, your visit to the Lea will be very enjoyable.
Geography
Overall, the Eastern Lea is primarily a series of large fields interspersed with the occasional tree grove and river. There are on average three large rivers throughout the area, which the locals call the North Lane (stretches from the north down), South Lane (creates the general southern boundary of the fields), and the Sylphis River (meanders throughout the East, and occasionally splits into two or disappears entirely for days). Depending on the weather, these rivers can be insurmountably deep or only a few inches of slow-moving water.
Unlike some other regions of the Other Plane, the Eastern Lea resembles the more mundane areas of Earth at first glance, although (as always) some bending of time and reality is common. The sun is softer, and the seasons typically stay in a cycle of summer and fall, although there are rumors of a third season, the Wet Times.
