Imperial Spellmaster

The head of the School of War Magic and Advisor to the Emperor on matters of the Arcane. The Spellmaster is, unlike the rest of the positions, elected by the mages of the School of War Magic. Therefore they may not be the most powerful mage but they are respected by their peers. The Spellmaster oversees the School of War Magic and acts as a guiding hand of the emperor, depending on what they feel would be most beneficial to the Empire at the time. When they become the Spellmaster, an individual is given a unique and powerful staff that was stolen from Roseweald in the Early days of the Empire. This staff grants them a massive enhancement to their spellcraft and magical influence. It is a testament to the fact that it has never been successfully reclaimed by the people of Roseweald.
