The Staff of Sun Wukong
The staff of Sun Wukong is one of the Oldest relics known to still survive in the world today, its origins can be traced back to the Final Days of the war between the Giants and the Dragons. Forged by a Fire Giant who scrubbed his own name from history for a human who had befriended him. The staff itself is almost never in its complete form, wielded by only a few in history. Instead it is split into three parts that scatter themselves across the planes.
Sun Wukong was a human man who, through either meditation or cleverness, achieved power akin to that of the Upper Planes of his own means. The results of this are unclear but what is known is that he created for himself and a few others a new Upper Plane known as Flower Fruit Mountain, a mountainous Island Paradise among the heavens. He was reffered to after this as the Monkey King and he challenged the decisions of the Heavens and those within them, openly defying and, on one notable occasion, insulting The Dragon God Bahamut directly. He consorted with Demons, Devils and the denizens of the Heavens alike, causing uproar by some but it is said he saw the potential for good in all things.
What is true in this tale is a matter of debate but it is agreed that Sun Wukong was a real individual and he did accrue extreme power. Should an Individual acquire all three fragments of the Staff of Sun Wukong it is stated that the individual would share in the Power of the Monkey King. Examples from previous holders were: The power of Flight, Shapeshifting and duplication.
