Saul Steelstriker

A blacksmith and neighbor to Sivon Nekho. He meets the part during the plot of A Rat's Tale - Part 4: A Friend in Greed when Sivon goes out of town suddenly and gives Saul the recovered book from Senator Tomas Woodrue and details of where is was found.

This male dwarf cleric to Moradin, God of Fire and Forge is regularly is fiddling and/or cleaning his warhammer which doubles as his holy symbol. He has trouble staying still and even in the most casual of setting will wonder around looking for something to fix or improve. He is nearly always covered in soot from his forge.

Roleplaying Saul

Saul is a young cleric, but is both passionate and skilled at blacksmithing. He is a little eccentric, but that's a result of his laser focus on creating new and power artifacts. He has light brown hair with a long beard, slightly singed at the edges. He's overweight due to his love of fine food and ales, but that doesn't slow him down. He wears gold and silver chainmail with a leather apron over his armor. Saul is annoyed with himself that he let the elementals escape into his workshop, but it's only a temporary setback. He more concerned with putting them down so he can continue his ritual crafting.

“Buggery spitfires. I'll teach'em not to mess wit me craftin'.”

BEFRIENDING SAUL

If the party successfully helps him defeat the fire snakes in his workshop and assist him in completing the ritual to enchant his forge, Saul is elated and offers to help the party, either by crafting something at a later date or actually assisting on an adventure, he's always out himself looking for rare materials necessary for the highest end craft. If not successful, he blames himself for not taking the proper precautions and thanks the players for their help all the same. Once the ritual is finished and Saul is freed up, he happily returns the books and recalls to them what Sivon told him about who brought the book to Sivon and where it was found.
