Session 1
General Summary
All you can remember that past week is being in a dark room with very little light and food shove through a slot once a day. You have the feeling that this room is traveling, you can feel movement of a wagon and the sounds of horses feet clopping along a road.
At times you can hear chatter but its muffled and you can't make any of it out. You all assume its your captors. Its very difficult to keep track of the days you have been in this situation, but after some time you find yourself in what appears to be a cell. Your all exhausted, and are having trouble adjusting to the what little light you have.
The first day you meet Dillard, he greets you and helps nurse you back to health. Then that after noon was when it all started the guards took us to the fighting arena and there was lots of spectators who were mostly betting on the other party, we grabbed some weapons and fought a group made up of three hobgoblins. We took some hits but made it we fought and fought we finally killed them the crowd roared with anger some were cheering us on.
We were sent back into the cage, Dillard was there to meet us. "I have a plan when you get back from your next fight tomorrow I will leave your weapons under that hay and also leave the other cages open, and have the other captors run north and you run south. Please take my daughter with you in case I dont make it out. There is a secret passage in the to room on your left along the back wall that will lead to a way out, make sure to close the door, know one know about it but me and Violet." We agreed and then went to bed the next after noon the guards came and took us to the fighting pit and more and more people were betting for us this time, we were up against two giant hyena's and we won again. The crowd roared with excitement, but we had more important things to take care of.
When we got back to our cells, we found our weapons and got a signal from Dillard to get ready. Within a few minutes there were other "contestants" heading out of there cells heading toward the arena, all the guards were just behind them trying to stop them.
We fought two guards and then the jailer came out of his office blew a horn and called about 7 more guards and we started to attack them and killed them then we saw more guards to prevent them from getting further Dillard cast a fire ball, but wound up hurting himself in the process. He looked over at Voilet and said he will always lover for her as his own, and looked at the party and said take good care of her before he died. We ran down the corridor to the room on the left and found the door Dillard was speaking about, it was right where he said it would be, we headed on through.
Next Click Whistle wedged the door secret door with a bit of climbing gear behind us. We headed down the corridor and came to a small complex. We explored the first room we came across, it looked to be a natural hot spring, the water was really dirty but still very warm. Groob said “LETS GO IN!”, the others were hesitated and he gave it a second though. We traveled around and found three more hot springs, this must have been a place to rest after battles but it hasn't been used in a very long time. Traveling through we came across room full of steam, probably still from a hot spring, it was difficult to see in there. We were surprised to find some rats and fought them and we won. We looked for treasure and failed, but we found some steps the lead down into a cavern.
