Heaven's Laurel

(Legacy Content)
Heaven's Laurel is a mystical gilded headdress, and one of two masterpieces created by the late Orthoni Gut-beard, the other being the Soul of Radiance. It was an item of such great power and brilliance that upon hearing of its creation, the goddess of war Uraellda herself appeared before him to claim the artifact herself, ensuring its safety and proper use. Since then, it has proven to be a valuable asset to Uraellda in her never ending quest to secure Alore from all manner of threats. The Laurel has thusly become a cultural icon resembling not only justice and order, but also of the true potential held within everyone - that everyone can make something worthy of the divines.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The Laurel itself is a fascinating work of Orthoni's craftsmanship, as he was able to fashion a plain chunk of metal into an object capable of holding upwards of ten enchantments at once - a feat never before seen from mortal hands. From there, he meticulously laced every ounce of Maijure he could through its structure, not only reinforcing the object, but granting it and its bearer incredible power.

Significance

As the Laurel makes up a significant portion of the iconography of Uraellda - and thereby Order's Pantheon - it is seen as one of the most important symbols of justice and righteousness across the civilized world.

Raw materials & Components
The initial materials consisted primarily of Veluvium-Steel for the body of the piece, as well as traces amounts of gold and silver for the gilding. Additionally, to allow the Laurel to hold massive amounts of magic, a large portion of the interior space is filled with Maijurium.
Tools
Owing to Orthoni's sheer talent, the unenchanted Laurel was made with surgical precision using only his hand tools, with the aid of the Forgemaster's Metronome spell. From there, he used specialized smithing spells he never published to fill the piece with liquified Maijurium, giving it its absurd magical potential. Finally, he spent entire days tirelessly and carefully threading enchantments across the surface and the now solidified Maijurium within, granting it its properties.
