Ashguard

Demographics

Ashguard had a diverse populaton like the rest of Evlora, but not quite as much as Evlora itself. Humans dominated the population with the second biggest group being dwarves. The city became well suited for dwarves as stonework and mining became massive businesses and homes could be dug out from the mountain walls.

Government

Ashguard was governed and ruled by the Duke of Ashguard. The duke owned the land and governed it under the laws of Evlora and paid their taxes to the king in Evlora.

Defences

Ashguard had massive stone walls that formed a half circle around the town with the other half being protected by the mountain. The town only had one gate and it was well protected by ballistas and fortifications.

Industry & Trade

Ashguard was the most productive and richest mining city in Evlora. It worked both quarries and mines within the town.

Districts

There were many districts in Ashguard, one of the most known was the highrise district which was the mountain wall of the storm peaks. The district was vertical and made up of many floors of housings with scaffold-like bridges and ladders that connected everything.

History

Ashguard was destroyed in A4 128 when The Terrasque emerged from the ground outside the city and attacked everything in sight. An army made up by bronze guards, mercenaries and adventurers were quickly assembled in Evlora to attack the creature. All marched into the city and none returned, most of the people in the town were killed, alongside those who tried to stop it. The entire town was ruined within a day by the creature and the damage done was so severe that the town was never rebuilt
