Qualifications
Black-Berets are trained at the Black Barracks in Bleakburn for three years as squirelings where they go through extensive physical training to become elite soldiers and mercenaries. After their long training, those who have survived or not given up are granted their et which makes them a fully trained black-beret mercenary. Additionally, most who are accepted at the Black Barracks are mostly humans and men, few exceptions are made to this rule as Bleakburn is a mostly human driven city whose officials want humans to protect humans.
Career Progression
There are a few ranks within the mercenary company, most of which are acquired through seniority or through continued great acts within the company.
Payment & Reimbursement
Black-Berets are paid an average of 100 gold per month with some of the highest ranking members of the company earning as much as 500 gold per month.
Other Benefits
Black-Berets holds the most authority in Bleakburn and are recognized by all guilds and social stations within the city. The poor and rich fear them equally, knowing that they are not afraid of putting away either if need be.
Perception
Purpose
The Black-Berets serves as both guards, soldiers and mercenaries. They were originally a group of mercenaries which protected Bleakburn early in its history and continued to stay around until they eventually became as powerful as they are today. They serve most of their time as lawbearers in Bleakburn, but will also do tasks outside of the city and sometimes outside of the nation's borders.
