Early Life

Bruce was raised at the Flower Maiden Orphanage in Evlora as he never knew his parents or his lineage. He lived there and worked for his stay until he turned 14 years old. Bruce enlisted into the Bronze Guards as a teen in hope to make something out of his life and maybe even finding out where he came from and who his parents were. He passed the initial tests and was given a barrack to live in and friends to train with. He was grouped up with other trainees who had just been recruited, some of them would become friends for life. He also met his best friend Beanerys Keyren on his first day as a trainee and the two would become unseperable.

The Copper Chains

Bruce was done with his military education when he was 17 years old, almost a year after Beanerys who had passed all three years worth of tests in just two years. Their first few years of duty was filled with much boring guard duty and little to no action for months at a time, they didn't care too much about it as they were always allowed to work together, but Bruce got tired of not doing more. After three years of service, he asked his superior if he was allowed to open a small investigation about who his parents were and use the resources available to him as a bronze guard to do so. He was granted his wishes and he and Beanerys began their search for his parents. The investigation went on for a few years as there was very little to go on, and they still had duties as guards. The two finally made a breakthrough with their investigation in A4 642 as they found the address where Bruce was found as a baby. They followed up on it and asked around and at some point got dragged into a much larger case. They found out that Bruce's parents had been kidnapped by a group of criminals known as the Copper Chains who were slavers. They used the closed off catacombs below Evlora to smuggle people nobody would miss out of the city and onto ships to Mar'Dahar in Riverport. Bruce and Beanerys managed to catch one of them and follow him back to their headquarters where the entire operation was taken into the light by Bruce and nearly an entire batalion of guards following his command. The group was arrested and most of them executed on orders by Lawrence Lionel Lockhart II. They also found journals containing the names and information about who they had sold and tracked down many of the victims to Daharia, including his parents. Lawrence sent the two to Daharia to reclaim the victims and bring them back. They managed to bring back almost a hundred people, but his parents were not found and the slaver who had bought them told Bruce that they had died a few years back due to sickness. Even though he had saved many lives and given closure to many more, he could not stop himself feeling bad for himself and blaming himself for being too late to save them.
