Crown Sheep
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Crown Sheep looks much like a sheep. The only difference is that the crown sheep is three times bigger than normal sheep and has much bigger horns. The horns are also special as they circle upwards from the head making it look like a crown, therefore the name crown sheep. They also possess much more wool than normal sheep.
Genetics and Reproduction
The crown sheep give live birth to 1-3 lambs at the same time, just like normal sheep. The gestation period is longer however, being a total of 248 days.
Growth Rate & Stages
The crown sheep mature much later than normal sheep. They mature at 18 months old, but they can live much longer than normal sheep, living to between 40 and 50 years.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The crown sheep are herbivores eating mostly grass and similar plants. They can eat most fruits and vegetables and in some cases have been known to eating meat as the last option.

Uses, Products & Exploitation
The crown sheep are highly valued for their high wool production. A crown sheep starts producing wool at 2 months old and continue their entire lives. Their wool grows four times faster than normal sheep and with their bigger body, they can produce an average of 120 pounds of wool each year. The crown sheep can also be used for their meat when they grow old and stop producing as much wool. Their horns are also sought after because of their beauty and shape.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
The crown sheep are originally native to the Karathian Moors west on Tyrania where they stroll through the highlands eating grass and heathers. A large portion of the sheep were moved to the east of the continent during the third age and have been living in the plains around Thrustenwull ever since.

Crown sheep are equally intelligent to normal sheep, but because of their long lifespans, they often learn their environment and routines better.
