Anatomy

Although halflings have the same physical look as humans they are considerably shorter, often half the size of an adult human.

Genetics and Reproduction

Halflings reproduce like most humanoids and normally have one child at a time. Twins are more common amongst halflings than humans, but still rare often being around 1 in 200. Halflings have a shorter gestation period than humans only lasting around 7 months.

Halflings reach adulthood at the age of 20 maturing a bit slower than other humanoids.

Major Organizations

Halflings often blend into normal societies pretty well but there are two bigger groups in the world. Neverwich is a town dominated mostly by halflings and the Silent Clan in the mythical grove are all halflings.

Major Language Groups and Dialects

It is normal for halflings to learn common early to communicate with other races. They also speak halfling. The Halfling language isn't secret, but halflings are loath to share it with others. They write very little, so they don't have a rich body of literature. Their oral tradition. however, is very strong.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

It is somewhat rare for halflings to have interspecies relationships as their size and lifestyle make them more drawn to each other than any other race. The most common interspecies relationships on rare occasions are often gnomes, dwarves, and humans.

Being one of the shortest races halflings are generally weak compared to others. Halflings do have an advantage in their size as they are extremely dexterous.
