Aren Duson was born into a military family. His father before him was a captain in the trugarian military and his mother was a military secretary in Fangorn. Because of this, his upbringing was filled with military history, tactics, physical training, and war stories for bedtime. At the time he had finished the military academy he was given the rank of Major. He continued his work in Fangorn for a decade before he had been promoted to Major Captain and transferred to Autumn Rock to lead. His time in Autumn Rock was very successful and after showing extreme control and confidence he was promoted to Lieutenant Captain in A4 647. It was only a year later The Brotherhood of the Void attacked Autumn Rock and started a giant prison riot that would lead to his death by the disgraced wizard Ambrose Locket.
