Mechanical Prosthetics
Utility
Prosthetics comes in four varieties mainly, legs, arms, eyes, and tails. Prosthetics are mostly used by people who have lost a limb or other part, but there are a few people that want their biological parts replaced by a more advanced prosthetics. Most tinkerers deny this offer, however, as it is immoral.
Manufacturing
Prosthetic crafting takes time and a lot of resources to create. First, the mechanical parts like joins must be created before being put into an exoskeleton often made by steel, brass or bronze. There are also many upgrades possible for prosthetics depending on the prosthetic type and tinkerer.
Access & Availability
Prosthetics started as something only the richest of the rich could afford but over the rest of the third age, the art of creating prosthetics became very widespread and easier ways of creating them came to light. This meant that prosthetics became more and more widespread and by the fourth age basic prosthetics became affordable for middle-class people and above.
Complexity
Prosthetics are quite complex to make, but most tinkerer and inventors can learn how to make them, and those who can create them have no issue making them fast.
Discovery
Mechanical prosthetics have been a part of Aloth since A4 519. They were first invented by the Daharian tinkerer and inventor Arazi Eudwin. He had tinkered with the idea of mechanical prosthetics that could replace lost limbs for most of his life, it was first when he learned the art of magical tinkering he finally managed to create the prosthetics that are in use now.
