The Whitehall Rebellion

The Conflict

Prelude

The Whitehall Rebellion was made after the unceremonious execution of Elsira Whitehall, her husband Horynor Whitehall and their son Zylvoril and his wife Nerinoa Whitehall at the hands of the king Thristvar II Whitehall. Because of this event most of the Whitehall family except for Crawford Whitehall, Yesrila Whitehall and Thristvar's cousin Falenor Whitespear who also had the support of the Whitespears joined the rebellion. This started a war within the kingdom and the royal family as Thristvar declared anyone who followed Victravor a traitor and to be killed on sight. He also declared potential allies of the king like Ubahn Antique, Henry Morningfall, Zairo, Yaxora Tayker, Illidan Windsor, and many others as criminals. Many got bounties on their heads and a few members of the Whitehall family was either captured by Thristvar or killed in their attempts to flee to Cresthall or fight back.

Battlefield

The main battlefied of the rebellion was the city of Revendell, its streets, homes and the castle. This made the battle very rural and not controlled as it quickly became a slaughter which was fought on many locations throughout the city. A few siege weapons from the outside also made much chaos on the battlefield and at many points had both sides of the battle running for their lives.

Outcome

There were many consequences to the Whitehall Rebellion. Thristvar and his loyal nobles, soldiers and family members were either executed, diminished or imprisoned. The Whitespears lost their position as guardians of Revendell, an honor which was given to another group of adventurers who supported Victoravor. Victravor also took the position of king and dynasty head of the Whitehall family and would postpone the crowning ceremony until the people of Revendell had been compensated and supported in rebuilding. The former guard captain Wulgrax Ommer and his special unit of soldiers were also captured and Wulgrax's head was personally requested by the emperor. Many noble families who took the side of Thristvar not because of blackmail, but rather because of what he stood for where either imprisoned, executed or punished in some fashion.

Aftermath

Revendell lost mustof its army, something that would take long to rebuild. This has left Revendell very open and the kingdom itself is very poorly defended if another attack were to take place. A force like Kazaktar could do much harm to Revendell or even be the beginning to and end. Even though the Trugarian Empire has given Revendell a much higher soldier count, this decision also made the people more uneasy as the kingdom does not take well to such an occupation. The major shift in rule in Revendell might also upset some of the people within the kingdom as few sees Victravor as a worthy successor to Terrowin.
