Commentary by Rivelion, Scribe of the Luminary Scholars
The days of the Ancient World are much speculated upon. The time before Bazrag and the Dragons wrought destruction upon the world is a blank slate and a mystery to modern scholarship. One writing believed to be from the world before the incarnated Bazrag came has surfaced in recent years and remains a source of much debate. Discovered in the Ramil Desert, the Tome of the Ancient World has caused many to question the teachings of Kraxin's Creation story that has been canon to all religions for the past two thousand years. The tome makes three major claims:
First, Elves ruled the world and served as the guides for all people. The Tieflings served alongside the Elves until they were divided over the issue of Humanity.
Second, much like today, access to other planes was not possible. The Elves and Tieflings were charged with ensuring no outside forces entered. Humanity seems to have entered because of interplanar travel and should have been eradicated to maintain the purity of Alquara.
Third, the Hin and Gnomes rejected Elven rule and used Humanity to shield their rebellions. This directly contradicts the histories of the Autumn Woods and the Veiled Kingdom, who have shared the Autumn Lands in peace for time immemorial, according to both group's historians. It is worth noting as well that even though the relationship between the Veiled Gnomes and Autumn Elves has been strained with the current war, they both still maintain this history even when it might serve the Veiled Kingdom to adopt it.
The Tome is still being analyzed, but at the very least, the Arcane Magics and historical dating place it as thousands of years old. The Luminary Scholars of the Elves are seeking the aid of the Markonian Dwarves to cross-check their histories. Unfortunately, some xenophobic politicians have been using the currently unverified history to promote their ideas of Elven supremacy over all.
