Structure

Air Command Ranking

• Basic Ranks: the person with this rank has little to no arcane knowledge. They consist of general workers, melee combatants, and engineers. Those that do have some magical ability can surpass the basic ranks. Only those with high melee combat skills can go up to the highest rank of Meister Passatwind.
• Expert Ranks: these individuals can comprehend the arcane arts to an extent. They develop and grow these abilities to maintain all the magical devices on all the airships.
• Arcane Ranks: these special individuals have a greater understanding of the arcane and thus be called a wizard. These ranks make up the officers in the Oberan Air Command. They all learn how to fly several airship types and aerial combat tactics. Piloting the vessels require training in the abjuration and evocation magic. They will apply this knowledge to the battlefield. Not all wizards become pilots; those studying in other magic schools have their place within the ranks.

Basic Ranks

The following ranks are for the enlisted and drafted personnel of the O.A.C. These initial ranks make up most of the air command structure. They provide all the operations that keep the organization running. The following ranks are from lowest to highest.

Brise I

The lowest rank of enlisted and drafted personnel have no to minimal magical experience.

Brise II

Recruits at this level begin to research their apprenticeship programs. These classes will define the recruit's future.

Brise III

Those that reach this ranking have an idea of their future within the military. From here, the recruits will apply for the chosen apprenticeship programs. Those that failed the application process will continue as this rank until acceptance. Those that fail the application process three times will no longer be eligible for the promotion.

Passatwind I

At this rank, the recruits begin their training in their respective programs. These training courses make up the backbone of the O.A.C.

Passatwind II

The servicemen have displayed competence in their chosen field of profession.

Passatwind III

The servicemen have become experts in their chosen fields. This is the most common rank found on all airship types. They have earned the respect and trust of O.A.C. to protect the fleet.

Chefin Passatwind

The servicemen of this rank have chosen the path of leadership. They begin mentoring recruits in their profession.

Fuhrer Passatwind

These officers the technical aspects of their chosen profession down. They lead small groups of lower-ranking servicemen.

Senior Passatwind

People of this rank are normally in charge of their department in a division. They keep the day-to-day activities running on schedule.

Meister Passatwind

They are the most experience of all the basic ranks of the O.A.C. They act as department chiefs for their current profession and act as a point of communication with higher-ranking officers.

Expert Ranks

These ranks' personnel have proven to understand rudimentary magical abilities or certain desirable skills. They are allowed to train and develop those abilities in certain professions of the O.A.C.

Weststaaten I

Servicemen of this rank have begun their journey in some of the highly coveted programs of the O.A.C. They will be under the direct supervision of a Senior Weststaaten.

Weststaaten II

Servicemen that have performed their duties and excelled in the craft will be prompted to this rank.

Senior Weststaaten

Servicemen who displayed adaptive leadership during their initial training are prompted to this rank. They are responsible for developing the next generation of troops in their chosen profession. Senior Weststaaten is equal to greater than the rank of Wenig Monsun.

Meister Weststaaten

The servicemen have proven to high command of their skill and leadership in their chosen profession. They are no longer burdened with mentoring the next generation but are encouraged to keep oversite with the Senior Weststaaten. Meister Weststaaten is equal to greater than the rank of Zweite Monsun.

Arcane Ranks

The following ranks are all considered high officers in the O.A.C. They have all shown great prowess in arcane arts and have been deemed fit to lead the fleets.

Wenig Monsun

Recruits will study at the Oberan Air Command Academy in Helleslicht City. All the school's arcanists will learn the fundamentals of flying an airship. They will also study their chosen path at the schools of magic. A Wenig Monsun is considered the lowest-ranking junior officer in the O.A.C. After completing their education, they will be assigned to a fleet of a division within the corp.

Zweite Monsun

The servicemen are now given their assignments and continue their education. Zweite Monsun has high expectations in the service of higher officers in their field of study. They are considered the second to the lowest junior officer in O.A.C.

Monsun

The servicemen have completed their studies in warfare and demonstrated leadership qualities. Monsun will mentor other junior officers and lead the direction of other crew members. Depending on their chosen profession, some Monsun will command smaller vessels in the O.A.C.

Regieren Monsun

Regieren Monsun is now responsible for the command of multiple smaller vessels. Such as scouting and supply vessels. They continue mentoring other junior officers. Those of this rank is on the path of future commanding ranks of O.A.C.

Osterkommandant

Officers of this rank are the captains of attack airships. Osterkommandant will command squadrons of scouting vessels for senior officers aboard large airships.

Osterkapitan

Osterkapitan is the commanding officer of a large airship or squadron of attack airships.

Hurrikan Niedrig

They oversee the operations of attack ship groups within a fleet. Hurrikan Niedrig can communicate with every commanding officer in their ship group and direct movements and planning.

Hurrikan Hinten

Hurrikan Hinten oversees the operations of tactical ship groups with a fleet and special weaponry.

Hurrikan

Hurrikan act as deputies of combatants or regional geographic command of military fleets.

Laster Hurrikan

Laster Hurrikan holds the geographical command over the regional commanders. Overseeing the allocation of the military strength throughout their geographical area.

Flotte Hurrikan

The highest ranking O.A.C. officer. Flotte Hurrikan is in charge of the entire organization and reports directly to the Minister of Warfare.

Assets

Scout Ships

The O.A.C. utilizes three types of scouting vessels the all-purpose Gurteltier class, the lightweight Zyklon class, and the short to mid-range Strassenlaufer class.

Gurteltier Class

These vessels are all-purpose scouting ships. They can be used for long-range reconnaissance, troop transport, and supply transport. The airship is the slowest of the scouting vessels but makes up for it in armor. These ships are the most common ship in the O.A.C.
