Basilisk

Basilisk is a terrifying lizard with a petrifying gaze. They have become part of many stories due not just their nasty nature, but also because their main weapon is so lethal that even the Wyvern have troubles with it.

Anatomy

Basiliks resemble a normal drake, but they have more legs and were able to consume stone. Normal drakes don't also have the sight that turns their preys into stone.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Basilisk use their petrifying gaze to turn the prey into stone and then they break the stone into smaller pieces and eat it.

Domestication

It was difficult, but some drows especially have been able to train a basilisk to do their bidding, mainly using their gaze as a way to execute -or ratherm turnb to stone- some enemies they wanted to get rid of in a very flashy manner.
