It contains information about the ailments due to consumption or touch and how to survive such ailments. There is also information about how to use the plants, often as poisons, but sometimes as remedies too, although the book itself concentrates on being to able to tell the plants apart from each other than using them for medicine or assassination, as usually it benefits the ordinary person to know which plants to avoid. It also has informative sketches of the most important plants found around the drow city.
