The Hunt
The Hunt is a tradition of the wild wood elf tribes living in the area of The Old Sea, when they gather their chosen ones for a joint hunt which targets a demon.
History
It began shortly after the tribes settled on the newly formed area after the sea had dried up due to The Turbulence. Among the tribes there is a hard belief that they would need to imbue their very being with the blood of demons to be able to hunt those evil beings. Thus, the elven tribes of The Old Sea have a very high amount of tieflings among them. Those, who have inherited the horns are thought to be blessed and quaranteed to be able to join The Hunt.
Execution
The most talented hunters are called for The Hunt. They travel together, fight together and hopefully, defeat their target together.
When the hunters are called to fight, they train to become strong enough until the time is right and the final attack is called upon the target. Making friends and forming connections is essential for the Hunt to succeed; nothing forbids the outsiders from joining the hunt, and their aid is usually regarded vital for the survival of the hunting party.
Participants
Those who have been selectively called for the hunt. Usually the ones who have honed their skills in previous battles or new ones who could be promising in defeating the target in question. The Shamans of the tribes discuss with the spirits and decide who should join The Hunt.
