Transcend-I'm picturing that happening with some sort of violent visual of raw energy. His obsession with explosions became a way to connect with and perhaps control a part of his past that was both traumatic and awe-inspiring. He sees explosions as a form of art, a way to mimic the cataclysmic power of the extraplanar event. And also he probably sorta went delulu in the process.
-Recent, pulled through the Empyrean Weave, adrenaline chaser from birefly being pure energy

Corruptor- MERCURIO GRIMSHADE. Enigmatic spellcaster from ????, emerged after that whole rift sheboodle.

Seeing potential in the harengon's fascination with explosions and his innate talent for harnessing chaos, Mercurio took him under his wing. The penultimate mentor of maximizing collateral damage. Constant leading promises that 'this might be what you need - we can match that raw power, the glorious boom' - but never a payout.

Mercurio's influence led Caer to view explosions not just as a form of art but as a manifestation of power and control. This slow built a philosophy that saw beauty in destruction and chaos - even if it occasionally meant someone's arm blew through their spouse.

Over time though, he realized that Mercurio might have been using him as a tool to further some hidden agenda linked to the extraplanar event. What? Dunno. But he wasn't actually BAD, just really, really a big fan of things blowing up. So they parted ways.

A Resource Uncovered- In his swift break with Mercurio, Caer quickly scribbled notes from whatever documents he could find from a hidden cache. Unfortunately the entire building was ablaze due to a pyrotechnical distraction that...well. Worked really well.

All that was left for notes? 'Etherfire Crystals ' - and some heavily burned scribbles about raw planar energy and 'explosions of incredible magnitude'

Were they at the root of the planar event? Produced by it? A misinterpretation of arcane notes! Dunno, but he's damn well going to blow things up until he finds them

A companion, Talyn. Had a similar background and proclivities as Caer. SOLID LEAD on the crystals. Talyn knew how to get them in a locked vault in a noble’s stronghold. Enter the Heist. An explosion laden Oceans 11 extravaganza. THEY NEARLY MADE IT. During their escape, crate of crystals in tow - a limpet mine in Talyn’s satchel went off…leading to Talyn being in many places at once. Caer escaped with the crate and one of Talyn’s shoes. Cracking open the crate…the crystals were basically rock candy. The noble was also kind of a jerk.

QUEST: avoid warrants from Naramunz, Mercurio used as a scapegoat to inflamming tensions between the Imperium and Republic, discover the Etherfire crystals, and chasing the high of being forcefully pulled through the Empyrean Weave
