Currency across Alte'vurl consists of the same 4 metals, albeit the obverse changes depending on the country and year of mint.
North: no coinage of their own?
East: (unions) coins are rectangular,
South: ( ) coins are square, one side has the Phoenix, the other
West: (royals) circular coins bear reliefs of previous Empresses, and an image of Tiamat on the other.

Selling goods
In general, a character can sell something for half its listed price.
Trade goods are the exception to the half-price rule. A trade good, in this sense, is a valuable good that can be easily exchanged almost as if it were cash itself.
