Double Bracers

A pair of bracers that, when used, splits the person into 2 identical bodies. Each has the entire recollection of the original, and capabilities. HP is half that of the original, and if either dupe is reduced to 0, they recombine as the original at 1/2 HP. They also recombine if they exceed a certain distance from 1 another (1 mile), and cannot be used during a long rest. 1 hour total per day?

A proper restriction may be to bind it to a martial class. Mages get insane already, it’s difficult for martials to stay afloat.
