A I: Known Arcane Manifestations of Air
Whilst Channeler have the potential to manifest the Breath of the Spirits into any form of elemental force they can think of, and make their manifestations wildly unique, most have transpired into a commonly known practice for others to mimic.
Gust Sting, a primitive level manifestation which can be channeled as quickly as swatting one's hand at a bug, but is only so effective as flinging a paper card.
Effectively, this manifestation is just a miniscule but swift gust of wind, able to inflict small cuts on bare skin, but unable to pierce even the weakest of armors.
Channeler who often use this manifestation mainly treat it as a tool to cut down high-hanging fruits or weakly mounted objects. Or to briefly enhance their weapon with a quickly dispersing wind blade, if fighting an unarmored enemy, to slightly increase the range of their attacks.
Purification, an advanced level manifestation, first channeled by the great alchemist Madamah in one of his many experiments, with an initial channeling time of around 3 seconds. That, in theory, could then be continued indefinitely, as long as the Channeler can endure the intake of arcanic energy.
Effectively, this manifestation mimics the primal Channeling of Moles and other underground creatures, by taking in arcanic energy and converting it into breathable air. Unlike with the primal Channeling of Moles, however, the Channeler does not store this air inside of their body, but expels it as soon as it is created.
When expelling it from the Channelers palm, and holding their hand over their mouth or nose, this manifestation can enable a Channeler to safely breathe in toxic environments. But since upholding this manifestation over a long period of time is quite taxing on the Channelers body, it is mostly utilized in the creation of Arcanic Cores. Which are then used to enchant special masks, enabling adventurers to travel more safely through toxic areas like the Living Decay.
Reverse Purification, an advanced level manifestation, first channeled by the great alchemist Madamah in one of his many experiments, with an initial channeling time of around 3 seconds. That, in theory, could then be continued indefinitely, as long as the Channeler can endure the intake of arcane energy.
Effectively, this manifestation creates a manipulative energy inside of the Channelers body, which, if coming into contact with oxygen, corrupts the air it touches and turns it into a toxic mist.
However, most of the time the nature of this poisonous mist varies greatly from only minor symptoms like nausea or drowsiness, to severe poisoning, causing immediate unconsciousness or even respiratory failure if inhaled.
Since the outcome of this manifestation is quite unpredictable and possibly even deadly to the Channeler itself, barely anyone ever dares to try and utilize this manifestation in an open environment.

The list of known manifestations has in theory the potential to be endless, with new ones being added steadily over time as Alterna I grows and evolves.
