Origin:

Scattered across the Lands Evergreen Veldt, it is said that the Prism Scales are the fallen off feathers of Srrar's prismatic wings. Which he sometimes sheds on his occasional flights over the plains.

Appearance:

Prism Scales look almost identical to the sharp scales of dragons, but seem to possess no color and are foggily see through, just like tainted glass.
However, they do seem to possess a mix of radiant colors whenever light shines directly upon them. Which gives the scales a prismatic hue when looking at them up close, or appear as small beacons of light when seen from a far away distance.

Main Use:

Given their prismatic nature, and colorful display when faced with light, Prism Scales are often used as decoration on the more noble buildings of the royal district. But in some cases also on some armors and weapons, or as a trump card item in an adventurers bag. Where the decoration aspect is more of a secondary nature, as Prism Scales also possesses the ability to reflect more than just light.

Special / Unique Properties:

Apart from being a beautiful and colorful scale, Prism Scales also possess the ability to reflect any form of primitively channeled manifestation, and to some degree, even advanced ones.
Although, if they are used to reflect a more powerful manifestation, the scale will simply evaporate into thin air, after having dispersed it.
And if an armor or weapon, or any structure, is covered or even fully imbued with Prism Scales, they also hold the same reflective properties, both in its shiny prismatic hue and ability to reflect manifestations.
However, if a prismatic armor, weapon, or structure happens to be hit by a strong advanced manifestation, their prismatic hue will slowly fade away, until it simply returns to be just and ordinary craft.
If hit with an exalted one, the immense stress the scales have to deal with could then easily cause the craft to violently shatter into pieces, after dispersing only one single manifestation.

Additional Insights:

Whilst never being able to be confirmed or denied to actually be true, legends tell about a unique item made purely out of Srrar's Prism Scales, able to even reflect and withstand exalted manifestations. And never lose its prismatic hue.
Some say that this legendary item lays somewhere deep down in the depths of the Singing Sea, whilst others are convinced that it rests on top of the Black Spire, guarded by Srrar himself.
Another rumor has it that it was once an ordinary prismatic item, before it was devoured and reformed inside of a Boghog, whilst others believe it has to be hidden inside of Ilvwa's Elusive Pyramid.
Driven by curiosity and greed, many adventurers have already embarked on a personal quest to find this legendary prismatic item.
But so far, no one has even come close to discovering as much as a hint of its location, or if it even truly exists.
