When the Gelgic Alliance attacked Calantor, the three powerful houses Ryllanor, Faenovar and Esengarion left their spires to enter the mysterious Malachite Tower, barring it behind them. Overnight the entire elven district around the tower became overgrown by thorny brambles that came to bloodthirsty life when anyone entered. The invaders tried to cut and burn the bramble away and bombarded the Malachite Tower. No matter what was tried, the tower was unscathed and the guarding bramble always grew back. Little over a century ago, the gates of the Tower suddenly swung open and the lost elves returned with their riches to once again take a position of power in Calantor.
