Tol Tinarath

Overview

Upon approaching Tol Tinarath it is hard not to marvel at the beauty of it. The bright towers gleaming in in the sunshine, high over the deep surrounding forrest. Staggering great walls, great vaulted bridges arching in the air, vast glittering domes all bear witness to wonder of the Tavarian Empire. But when you get closer you see that is a faded grandeur. The outer walls are crumbled to the ground. The great dam holding back the mountain river were destroyed long ago, leaving the gorund levels flooded for centuries. Many of the great towers are partly ruined and overgrown

The Telariel Court

The central part of Tol Tinarath is an island cliff rising from the flooded ruins of the valley floor.   Arthelannias' Throne: On the top of the highest tower trees from the Feywild has been planted as to make a throne room for the High Prince himself.   The Halls of Revelry: The beating heart of Tol Tinarath are the many halls and gardens where the Telariel hold a constant revelry to keep the memory of the Tavarian Empire alive.   Embassy of the Seasons: This building once housed emissaries from the Eladrin courts of the Feywild. Now it holds Winterthistle's Tattoo Parlor - where the most prominent of the Nuala and Telariel get adorned, and Elhadan's Emproium - where the most curious magical items ar purveyed. Winterthistle is actually a warlock sworn till the Prince of Frost and Elhadan the Egregious is an eladrin .

The Shining Rise

Another well preserved part of the ancient city is the towers and halls rising from the northwestern mountainside   Hall of Blades:   The Tower of the Night Sky: This partly ruined tower complex once held a temple of the old triune godess of the night sky. The complex once also held the Aerendomiel a monastic order of seers and martial artists. The only inhabitant of the tower these days are the Alicorn Starwhisper. One of the adjoining halls houses the Twilight Seamstress, where the spiderlike monstrosity Saurelie Felorias creates the most marvelous dresses.   The Sorrowtree: A great Dragonleaf Tree that once was one of the largest and most beautiful Gemsong Tree in the empire.

Silvermist Woods

The eastern banks of the Tol Tinarath is densly convered with trees and often veild in deep mists. Once great gardens and orchards, this district is now home to the Hinuli tribe   The Sanctuary of Justice and Mercy: The partly ruined temple like structure is dedicated to the commandments of the great platinum dragon Loharneth Ashai. Since the days of the Empire it has been the scene of trials and judgements.

Tubmledown

The Towers That Never Fell

History

Once Tol Tinarath was one of the seven great cities of the Tavarian Empire. It was known as "The City of Silver Spires" and was cradled in the valley of Ilfelin. The majestic mountains surrounding the valley were said to be rich in gem stones and home to several Emerald Dragons. According to fragments found by Eyrin de Calibor in Nightsinger Hall the city of Tol Tinarath was at least 12 000 years old.    The Siege of Ilfelin In the year of 370
