Wickers Hollow
The soothing sound of a soft river enters your ears as you methodically make your way through the dense underbrush of the forest. The smell of sawdust and the ensuing sound of metal shredding wood drift into your ears and nose as you free yourself from the grip of the forest and lay your eyes upon Wickers Hollow. It's a small place, a number of small huts dot each side of the river, a soundless Water Mill rotates unburdened through the river. Many wild animals peacefully wander and graze through the shin height grass and foot pathes.
This quiet hamlet is tucked a few miles away from one of the most popular stops among The Suturvian Pass; Eden's Edge. Wickers Hollow is home to about 150 individuals consisting of mostly animal folk. The village is bisected by the gently flowing Managies River and is relatively self sustaining thanks to it's pristinely kept Water & Saw Mills, and a very competent local Doctor.
The citizens of the tiny Hamlet are a superstitious and pacifistic group of people. Their strong belief in letting the dense surrounding forest coexist with them has, at least for the time being, spared them of most major troubles. To enjoy any prolonged stay one must adhere to their beliefs and customs:
1. Thy shall only forage and trap for what is needed.
2. Any traps employed to catch animals must be harmless or enact a quick and painless death.
3. You must kiss the somber willow before departing into the forest with the intention to return.
4. Your feet may not touch the river water no matter the circumstance.
5. All weapons shall be left at the forest edge or donated to the Doctor.
If one is capable of following such trivial superstitions, then your stay in Wicker Hollow should be pleasant and serene.
"Welcome, welcome to our piece of reprieve in these hostile lands. You'll find that we are quite warm hosts. Yes, that's quite a surprise I know, we simply ask that you stop by the Somber Willow to read the rules of Wickers Hollow. If you have any questions, or hurt yourself during your stay. Please feel free to pay me a visit." - Doctor Dmitri Wildskye
