La Gran Barrera

The massive stone wall surrounding most of Estoquia. Each Great House (excluding Casa Leviatán) owns and maintains a quarter of it. However, over the years, more and more of the Houses have turned over wall maintenance duties to Casa Coraza.

History

The King of Swords initially refused to build a wall around his capital city, but after his death at the hands of The King of Storms and the ascension of his young son to the throne, The Great Houses of Costraña came together to rule the kingdom and make the land safer for everyone. As part of this initiative, and as a show of cooperation between the Houses, each House sponsored the construction and subsequent maintenance of a section of the wall, with Leviatán not involved in the construction but rather providing the materials. Eventually, the Great Houses no longer had a need for large standing armies, and the patrols of the wall were the first extraneous jobs to be cut. Coraza now owns and patrols almost the entire wall.
