Meera and Esteem Trevalis

Meera and Esteem were members of a former adventuring party that Ez (now a member of Persicorum) was a part of a quarter of a century in the past. Their party disbanded due to finding enough success to comfortably retire and no longer wishing to persevere with the danger and struggles of adventuring when approaching later years. The party travelled and worked together for several years as career adventurers. 

On their adventures, Meera and Esteem both fell in love on their adventures and decided to retire from adventuring, marry and settle down together after Esteemed was seriously injured in a dungeon crawl (losing an arm) and the two of them saw it as a sign their adventuring days were over. 

Meera and Esteem used some of their loot and savings to open a tavern in the city of King's Bay, a tavern with the purpose of offering comfort, support and advice to young starting out adventurers. This has led to the two of them gaining a reputation as supportive, mentor like guides to young adventurers who are looking to make a start in an adventuring career. 

Meera A human that acted as the quieter and more contemplative one of the couple. Occassionally cutting and manipulative, Meera has a quick wit that is rarely used and specialises in giving gentle honesty to those looking for guidance and a severe cut down to those she perceives to be arrogant or foolish. Meera was a rogue (thief archetype) at the start of her career and now uses that grace and dexterity as a bargirl and showy front of house for the tavern.

Meera at first appears an incredibly timid human with grey-blonde hair and the starting signs of old age however she still maintains an attractive and refined figure as a sign of her former roguish ways, however, it is her hands which carry the symbol of their toil and adventures as they are incredibly scarred, calloused, burned and broken making them appear weathered, tough, brutal and beautiful in their own way. 

Esteem The fire to Meera's ice, Esteem is a tiefling paladin who saw themselves as a chivalrous, aloof shield for their adventuring party. However, Esteem often used their chivalry to hide their anxieties and fears, especially around Meera who has found a way to make Esteemed nervous and hot under the collar from the day they met. Esteem has since roughed with age and has become a more language abusive brutish force in the tavern who uses their hardened and tough exterior to hide their sensitivity and love of the life they have made.

Esteem is a sky-blue tiefling who always wears gold caps on the tips of their curled ram horns, she has a slightly feathered coatl-style tail and is notably missing their left arm, leading them to wear a solid gold earring in their left ear in lieu of a wedding ring. Her blue-black hair is in a swept-back state to leave her face and vision clear and unobstructed, she has black eyes with no pupils of schlera.
