Prosthetics

Prosthetic limbs are another newly created jewel of Alturis.
They have many uses though are most often utilised for those that have lost limbs. This has changed the lives of many who once fought the Dread King and many who still to this day have lost limbs in combat.
All limbs can be given as prosthetics to people for a price, along with more unique prosthetics such as eyes and ears.
Prosthetic limbs have also been opened into an illegal business where magic is infused into them to offer technological upgrade to a person... this practice has become known as Body Modifications and can be done to include storing weaponry inside a prosthetic limb, holding spells or other unique things.

Access & Availability

It is an expensive practice only available in cities when practised by prosthetic artificers. Doing a prosthetic surgery with illegal groups have on occassion led to infections and other negative issues.
It is not truly common but is popular amongst those who can afford it and many artificers train to become Prosthetic artificers as an extra source of income.

Complexity

It is a deeply complex technology, specifically the more intense surgeries. As a result prosthetics aren't something to be completed lightly and one should truly make sure they are willing to take the necessary risks in these surgeries.
