The Denizens believe that Camille was cheated out of being the one true ruler of Alturis after he completed his pact with
Ardeth. When
the true heroes banished him to the
Lady of Pain they scorned her and devoted themselves to worship of
Lolth the Spider Queen who promised them the power to have their vengeance and a way to walk upon the surface and crown Camille as the Dread King.
They have built a network of tunnels in the Nazall Summit,
The Mammoth Peaks and
The Oar Mountain Denizens that they travel through to move about on raids on the surface and attacking those who dig too deep.
They dream of a world where Camille stands as the dread king of Alturis and Lolth stands as his queen.
