No one remembers what truly happened that day when the world was set on fire. Even the elves swear by the archons that any record from that time has been lost. All that remains is the scar. The western half of the world was destroyed. Monsters poured out from the earth ravaging the land. The old kingdoms, lost. It took many lifetimes to rebuild the world after the Modryan Scar cut the known world in half. Those few that survived fled south and claimed wild land and untamed forest to resettle and start the over again. New cities, nations, and alliances were made and broken.
