Chocobos

Chocobos are unique to the Free Elven Cities (in ‘Greece’). Though some wood elves have been given small flocks to use, the individual gifting of a chocobo is rare and not to be taken lightly. Chocobos are magical creatures as demonstrated by the fact that they can carry the same weight a horse can, despite being smaller, bipedal, and birds. Legend goes that they’re a gift from a powerful archfey queen for services rendered (or a clever bargain, depending on the bard). Chocobos not only require less space than horses, but significantly less feed, too.
Chocobo - Medium creature Stats are the same as that of horses, with one exception *Magical mount: chocobos are treated as Large creatures for purposes of carrying capacity, grappling checks, and in any other situation in which it would be advantageous to do so. Note that damage done from charge and trample attacks is piercing, not bludgeoning.
Cost - As horses, provided the buyer is a high elf from the Free Elven Cities region. Black market purchases can be up to ten times as high.

Chocobo Breeding is a delicate practice, undertaken by elves who apprentice for nearly a century. The yellow chocobos commonly seen in heavy cavalry or doing menial work make up the majority of chocobos, but master breeders has produced several breeds with unique abilities. These abilities (and costs for that chocobo) are below.
White - +10 movement, +2 Dex 600 gp Pink - +10 movement, +2 Str 600 gp Red - +2 Str, +2 Dex 800 gp Purple - +4 Con 800 gp Blue - Constant water walking (freshwater only) 1,000 gp Green - Climb speed 30 (unworked stone and dirt only) 1,000 gp Black - +20 movement, +4 Con, Blue + Green 5,000 gp Gold - +4 Str, +4 Dex, Black (saltwater as well) 10,000 gp
Health, lineages, and more are all necessary for proper chocobo breeding, as is the harvesting of special greens and nuts from the Feywild.
