Enora de Chinon
Lady Enora de Chinon (a.k.a. The Golden Blade of Anjev, the Maiden of the Towers)
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Enora maintains an excellent physical condition, a mix of a dedicated training regimen and Alchemical mixtures that give her a distinctive edge over the average Bediz fighter, making her even capable of taking on most Milliget and Sidhe in single combat.
Facial Features
Enora has a heart-shaped face, framed by a full and well kept head of golden-blonde hair. Her pale skin is largely clear of blemishes or marks.
Special abilities
A master sword fighter, Enora has developed several techniques that give her a considerable edge against her opponents.
Sword of Light - Enora’s Blade is polished to a mirror sheen, which allows her to deflect the rays of the sun at precise angles to blind and disorient opponents, giving her valuable openings in a fight. The Faerie-wind bound to her blade allows her to perform impossible feats of speed and strength.
Apparel & Accessories
Enora typically wears high-end, but practical outfits, typically a customized uniform of a Anjevin Windmaster. Typicall, this consists of a scarlet overcoat with brass highlights over a tight pair of pants and shirt. Enora favours high boots and typically wears brass pauldrons over red shoulder pads.
Specialized Equipment
Windcutter - Enora’s alchemically-strengthened sword has been infused with the magical power of the Faerie Winds, allowing her to change its direction and momentum at inhuman speeds, essentially allowing the blade to seemingly exist in multiple places at once.
Mental characteristics
Gender Identity
Cisgender Female
Sexuality
Heterosexual, but largely disinterested in romantic entanglements that do not cede tangible socio-political benefits.
Education
The eldest daughter of the powerful de Chinon Family , Enora was allowed to study at the illustrious Abbey of Fontevraud, which conveniently fell within her family’s lands, allowing her to study at the monastery without having to take the vows of the Sisters of Ganymede. Here, she received instruction in math, language and history, albeit filtered through the religious teachings of The Southern Church. Additionally, Enora manipulated her way into the classes of Blademaster Cicero, Kasstel-Chinon’s Master of Arms from the Golden Sea. Enora excelled at these martial studies, easily beating the knights and noblemen of her family’s retainers and earning a reputation as a skilled fencer.
Employment
Enora’s primary role is securing political and financial power for her family name in the constant shift of courtly intrigue of Anjev. To this end, she commands a sizeable portion of the Anjevin Windships, including the Radiant Dawn, her alchemically enhanced Flagship. This has brought her into the civil war of Breizh on the side of House Blaez and her rival, Yonec Tydorel.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Enora has gained a reputation as a skilled sword fighter, knight and naval tactician. She has entered and won numerous Hastiludes and Tournaments, earning acclaim as the “Golden Blade of Anjev”, having only been bested twice in single combat.
Any doubts that Enora’s martial prowess was put to rest in the otherwise disastrous Battle of Sluys, where her command late in the battle saved the floundering Gallian Fleet from total destruction.
Failures & Embarrassments
Despite her prowess on the tournament circuit, Enora has been bested twice on the field, once by her political rival Yonec Tydorel and once by Breton upstart Kathalia Bisclavret. She has not forgiven either of them for the slight and seeks to prove herself over both of them with single-minded determination.
Intellectual Characteristics
Enora operates with a constant and carefully constructed air of refinement, elegance and grace, hiding a quick wit and calculating demeanor behind the niceties expected of Angevin nobility. Born into a life of privilege and political power, Enora is somewhat arrogant and carries the expectations of what someone of her social rank deserves.
Morality & Philosophy
Enora holds herself to a strict code of chivalry with a dedicated passion, even if this cedes a military or social advantage. This includes refusing to strike down an unarmed opponent and operating in a truthful, upfront manner. She general looks down on those who fight with subterfuge and misdirection.
Taboos
Enora is not under any discrete Ere-hud, but maintains a strict code of chivalry. She will not strike down an unarmed opponent.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Enora lives to maintain her strict code of chivalry and bring honour to Anjev and the House of de Chinon.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
Enora is exceptionally skilled at navigating the highly regimented worlds of court and the Windguard, deftly maintaining political and martial dominance. In more personal interactions, however, her constant and delicate political dance has put her at a great disadvantage at creating and maintaining friendships without direct external gain. This causes her to present a significantly more awkward and uncertain appearance when outside of her social comfort zones.
Likes & Dislikes
Enora is a connoisseur of the finer things her class entitled her to, and she spares no expense in highlighting this wealth. Her windship and castles are extravagantly decorated with the latest trends from the Cloth Cities and the a Golden Sea, and she maintains a full staff of artists, clothiers, musicians and cooks.
Enora is particularly fond of wine from the Liger valley, as well as chestnut pies, barnacle goose Fois-grois, and crystal pears. She disdains beer, considering it a “peasant drink” and forbids it from being served on her windships or military camps.
Despite excelling at courtly intrigue, Enora generally resents many of the nobles at court, considering them to be two-faced hypocrites and cowards obsessed with petty power grabs.
Enora considers Anjev and Gallia as the center of the world, and other regions as backwater frontiers.

Personality Quirks
In combat, Enora begins by tapping her boot 3 times with the flat of her sword.

Social
Contacts & Relations
Enora is heavily involved in the political machinery of Anjev, operating as a key part of its military and ruling apparatus. The de Chinon’s have several alchemists from the cabal of Menez-Mikael on retainer, as well as an army of tradespeople, knights and courtiers.
Family Ties
Enora is the eldest daughter and heir apparent to the powerful de Chinon family of Anjev. The de Chinon’s are closely related by marriage to the Tydorel and Blaez families, and further related to many noble houses throughout the Western Realms.
Religious Views
Officially a member of the Faithful, Enora sees the Church as little more than another opponent or asset in her ever shifting dance, focusing on its temporal power while presenting the expected reverence her class demands. She understands the nature of the Church in the social and geopolitical sphere and calculates accordingly.
Social Aptitude
Enora is a social savant, able to maneuver and manipulate her way through the web of intrigue that is the Gallian court, yet is able to take command in a pitched battle without hesitation or faltering. She seamlessly switches between her roles as a noble and a soldier with frightening ease, seeing little difference between a King’s Ballroom and a blood-drenched battlefield.
Mannerisms
Enora embodies the grace and aloofness of the model noble of Anjev, refined, dignified and precise. While this makes her the talk of the Gallian court, it also gives her a reputation of arrogant, snobbish and distant.
Hobbies & Pets
Enora enjoys swordplay immensely, and is a regular participant in all manner of hastiludes, practicing endlessly to maintain her relatively undefeated position and translating that dedication into her leadership on the battlefield. Enora is regularly traveling on the Radiant Dawn between her castles, the defenses and grounds of which she takes a hand in designing.
Enora maintains a fine stable of horses and a kennel of Cŵn Annwn
Speech

Wealth & Financial state
After the house of Blaez-Tydorel, the de Chinon’s are the wealthiest of Anjev’s noble class, maintaining a fleet of sky ships and numerous castles to control their substantial holdings in Anjev, Breizh, Akitania and Gallia. Enora is able to maintain an opulent lifestyle, it largely chooses to devote her ample resources towards maintaining her martial forces and private manors. Her windship, the Radiant Dawn, is luxurious even by Anjevin standards, featuring a full ballroom that can be used as a training room, a dining room with full kitchen and a small alchemist’s lab, all decorated with richly stained lightwood gold trim, all carefully crafted to her exacting specifications. Enora maintains 3 personal manors, the Castles of Chinon, Amboise and Chenonceau, which range from the marginally practical to the purely extravagant.
