The Birth of the Old Gods
    Era beginning/end

Out of the ever-expanding potential of the Elemental Chaos, there spawned 5 gods, known most often as the Old Gods, Founding Gods, or the Gods of Creation. Shar, The Voidwalker. First, there was nothingness, then there was Shar, The Nightwalker. Shar is the embodiment of darkness and chaos itself, making the endlessness of chaos the perfect place for her to place her endless reign. She loved the Elemental Chaos and thrived within it. This is similar to your third idea, the God of Chaos. Selune, The Silverstar. However, where there is darkness, there is light. Unbeknownst to Shar, her very creation, and in turn the creation of true darkness, spawned the creation of her truest opposite, the goddess of light known as Selune, The Silverstar. Where Shar represents darkness and chaos, Selune represents light and beauty. These two goddesses are considered twins, sitting on opposite sides of the endless expanse of Elemental Chaos with one representing the light and one representing the void. It is also worth noting that these two gods eventually become known as the origin of the elven races, having been crafted in their twinned visage. Lendor, The Sovereign Scholar. Next, there was Lendor, The Sovereign Scholar. Lendor is a god of knowledge and foresight above all else. Although he is most often considered to be the third of the Gods of Creation, there are those who believe he was in fact the first of their ranks and eldest of his kin. According to this belief, Lendor was the first of his kin to breathe in the primordial sea of creation. Confused and alone, Lendor did the only thing he could logically think to do. Learn.   Seeking to understand the endless cosmos around him, Lendor spent an eternity alone within this primordial world trying to make sense of the vast potentiality that had once spawned him. He did not act, nor intervene, he simply observed the truest beginnings of this multiverse and let himself go unknown to his brethren. Thus, time passed and passed and Lendor continued to learn and grow into his raw primordial potential, eventually retreating into his own mind to meditate on all that he had learned. In the silence of his meditations, he is said to have observed the many sins of his primordial siblings and, having learned from their mistakes, sparked the beginnings of a new world upon the foundation of what they had destroyed. Annam, The Great Creator. Next, there was Annam, The Great Creator. Annam is known as the Giant King and the Elemental Lord among a plethora of other titles and monikers. Born within a deep slumber, Annam is known to be a dreamer first and foremost. Within his dreams, Annam created beautiful worlds and endless stories that he loved with all of his heart. For eons, Annam dreamed and dreamed, enchanted with the beautiful worlds of his dreams.   As a god of great power, eventually, these dreams began to take form around his slumbering form. Within his sleep, the Elemental Chaos began to shift to the will of his subconscious, bringing entire worlds to life. However, as these worlds were formed of nothing but his subconscious thoughts and dreams, they were not constructed with care nor discipline and thus did not hold the beauty and wonder that they did within his dreams. Instead, they formed into horrific abominations home to strange creatures and endless nightmares brought to life.   Despite the horror of many of these lost worlds, eventually, Annam's subconscious formed something of true beauty in the form of a massive globe that grew around his slumbering form, almost as if protecting him from the nightmares that existed beyond its earthen shielding. Formed of a molten core and mountainous exterior with massive oceans and wistful winds, this globe was a beautiful balance of the four core elements and would go on to be the foundation of a world that would later be known as Osteria. Asgorath, The Worldshaper. Finally, there was Asgorath, The Worldshaper. The founding god of dragonkind, Asgrath was born with an ever-curious mind, Asgorath was an explorer of the cosmos itself. It is said that Asgorath’s spirit began wandering the primordial sea of Creation even before their physical body had fully manifested, for their mind simply yearned that badly to see all that was, and perhaps more importantly, all that could be. In their endless wandering, Asgorath learned to manipulate the elemental energies around them, forming three elemental spirits to accompany them in their endless exploration.
