Cyril, the Coin Master
Back when the world of Amaltheon was still in its very early years, trade between settlements was incredibly difficult. Many had memories of tokens that carried wealth that they could use in exchange for goods, but most settlements struggled to enact such a system. Enter Cyril, a young and hopeful halfling man with a goal he had set his mind to, to explore the world and make a change that would stand the test of time. Cyril had heard of others pursuing the path to divinity, and saw no reason why he couldn't do the same. Cyril gathered a party of adventurers, most notably one who would become known as Thadron, of Cursed Greed. Cyril and this party travelled throughout the unknown lands, slaying many a foul creature and gathering enough power to begin the ritual of divinity.
The ritual worked, and Cyril was guided towards the Lady of Life, who bestowed godly powers on him, and he was granted his divine favour. Though many would choose to create divine realms to rule from, Cyril decided to gift coins and the knowledge of currency to all of the world. In doing so, the current system of money was born, with all coins bearing Cyril's face and holy symbol. Cyril now travels between other gods' domains, and has never lost his wanderlust for exploration. He spends most of his time bestowing financial luck on those who require it the most, blessing good businesses that pay their workers fairly, and granting adventurers, like those who helped him ascend all those years ago, fonts of inspiration to help them stay safe along their travels.
