Merellien, of Fixed Memory
Early in the days of Amaltheon, many elven Wanderer Souls felt like there was a part of themselves missing. Many searched for this missing piece, but came up short. This was until Merellien, an Elven poet, began to write stories of theoretical past lives, and something clicked. Merellien realised that elves should be able to access memories of their past lives, but something along the process of becoming a Wanderer Soul had taken that away from them. With this, Merellien gathered all of his belongings, chartered a boat, and set off into unknown lands in an attempt to regain these memories. Ironically, after Merellien left the mainland, no one knew what happened until after he ascended.
Merellien ascended, became a god of Amaltheon, and was met by the Duke of Death. He was granted a divine favour and surprisingly asked for a divine realm, which confuses many scholars to this day, as they thought he would ask for the memories of past lives to be returned. His realm would become known as "The Great Library" which acts as a colossal library and museum. Those who draw divine magic from this realm are granted memories of the early world, and some claim to see visions of the future, but all these gifts are vague. Still, after his ascension, many Elves discovered their abilities to enter trance like states, and many believe Merellien is still working hard to return the dreams of past lives to his once proud people.
