The party meet with the Council of Firstport

Civil action

The party enters the council chambers a little earlier than planned but are met by the four remaining council members of Firstport, all of which have a proposition for them to consider. Many issues have been arising in recent times, and due to the fact that each council member has a vested interest in their given areas, each tries to convince to party to work with them first. Each plan will be listed in the "read full story" below.
After hearing all the pleas, the party decides to take a sidebar, to which Alfred offers up his office to them. They take some time to consider their options before deciding to go meet with Krom and hopefully sort out the mess with the raiders. As they travel back to inform the council of this, however, something strange occurs...

• Alfred Fernley suggests that the party go on a mission down to Scorchton, where they are to meet with Krom Tyllak, the leader of the Scorchton Raiders, and try to broker peace between the two towns by killing the flying creature (the dragon) that attacked Dawnbank recently. Alfred later reveals that the reason for this is due to a letter Firstport received from Krom asking for assistance from the "pale skinned adventurer," which they make out to be Cameo.
• Polly Whiswatler suggests a more direct route to deal with the Scorchton Raider issue and suggests hiring the party to deal with direct attacks from the south and preventing raids that have been taking a toll on nearby farm and woodland areas.
• Longton Barrelbody speaks of ships on the eastern seas that are making trade between Halag's Mond and the main land of Amaltheon very difficult. He also suggests sending the party over to the Eastern Continent in the unknown lands to try and "dissaude" further attacks from occurring.
• Ricrich Proudwillow speaks of the strange creatures that live below the ground that attacked Dawnbank less than a week ago and suggests that the party work with a task force he is assembling to help discover the source of the creatures and prevent any chance of invasions in inhabited areas.
