Adventures in Amaltheon (Sessions 11 to 20)

After heading outside with their newfound wealth, a group of young, poor children approach the party, though they keep a fair distance. Heothun walks over to them and hands them a few gold pieces as the children's faces light up, and they run away much happier for the help bestowed upon them. It is at this point that Ruben's coin purse splits open, and every now and then, a coin falls into the mud behind him. Heothun notices this and points it out. Before Heothun can warn that this is likely a punishment bestowed by a god, Cameo attempts to fix the pouch with a mending cantrip, though it doesn't work. It gets worse, however, as Cameo's coin purse also splits and birds start deficating upon them. Many shenanigans occur from here, but eventually they head to visit Mother Hazoret to see if she can help. Instead, Mother Hazoret scolds Cameo and Ruben for their actions, in both stealing the scrolls in the first place and then for neglecting a clear challenge from the gods. She informs the party that they're pretty much just going to need to see said curse through, as eventually Thadron, of Cursed Greed, will get tired and move on to his next victim. Realising that they have no options, they stick their coin purses in a bucket that Ruben is forced to carry and head off to meet with Wilra and Cole Olrynn to discuss more options when travelling to Scorchton.
