Soliel's House
“As they pulled into the driveway, Soliel noted the pathway leading to the house was lined with flowers of different colors. ‘Welcome Home, Sunshine.’ Nuit said with a smile”- A passage from the story.Soliel lives on Mana Court in Waywind, California, Eudora. Her house is a three bedroom, two bathroom, two story building, and is decorated beautifully throughout. She currently lives with her older brother Nuit, who has owned the house since Soliel and their parents moved to England, Eudora. When her parents passed, Soliel moved back to Waywind, where she goes to high school as a normal student, and makes new friends and reunite with old friends.
Design
Soliel’s house is built with grey bricks with a white wooden deck that wraps all the way around the back. Walking into the front door, to the right is a sitting room, with several couches and a bookshelf. On one of the couches are pillows and blankets neatly stacked in case of company. On the bookshelf are mixtures of books and board games, perfect for family fun nights. The walls are half grey bricks and half drywall painted light blue. To the right is an office, where Nuit works on research papers when he works from home.
Walking past the office and sitting room is an open concept kitchen, with white cupboards and black kitchen appliances, keeping a modern touch to the house. To the left is the dining room, with a long dining table and several white dining chairs that seat 6 people, 8 if tightly crowded. A soft light grey rug is placed underneath the dining tables.
In the living room, there is a big couch, two ottomans, a light brown coffee table, and a flat screen television. Near the television’s entertainment table is a small pink cat bed with the name “Penni” on it. Around the living room area are big windows that gives a view of the backyard, which is decorated beautifully with more flowers, as well as a patio with a barbeque, an outdoor eating area, and an inground pool. To the left of the living room is a sliding door that leads outside.
Next to the door is another door, which opens to a medium sized room, which is the guest bedroom. The room is simple with a queen bed, two nightstands, a dresser, and lamps on top of the nightstand. Anyone that stays over is welcome to make themselves at home in this room. There is a bathroom that’s attached to this room, as if this was originally the master bedroom, but Nuit has turned it into the guest room since his parents’ passings.
Upstairs, Nuit and Soliel’s rooms are on opposite sides of the hallway, Nuit’s being closer to the stairs. Directly down the hall is a big bathroom, with a step-up corner tub, two sinks on opposite sides, and a shower in another corner. One sink is neatly organized while the other is half neat, half messy. Soliel makes sure her sink is organized, due to her skin care routine is important that it’s in order, so that means Nuit’s sink is half messy. Soliel’s room is the second biggest, Nuit’s being the biggest.
Alterations
When Nuit's parents passed, he remodeled both the master bedroom and Soliel's room to suit needs. The master bedroom was changed into the guest bedroom, while Soliel's room was made to be the second biggest, with a bed that has wooden steps and storage underneath.
Originally, the house had minimal landscaping, but when Soliel was moving in, Nuit had put in more flowers and plants, making the front yard looking beautiful, inviting a smile onto the young girl's face.
Architecture
The house itself is built with grey bricks for the walls, with white fences surrounding the side yards and backyard. The roof is dark brown, with solar panels on top of it to promote solar energy.
History
The home was bought and owned by Lucas and Luna Jaime, Nuit and Soliel's parents. When Soliel and her parents moved to England, Lucas put the home in Nuit's name, making Nuit the new owner. Shortly after their passing, Soliel moved back in with Nuit, where she currently lives.
"I know it's not much, but you aren't alone anymore, Soliel.. I'm here. Always." -Nuit to Soliel.
