The Spider God

The Spider God is a devious deity that only cares about his own hunger. Preferring to live on Ambria, rather than the heavens with the other Gods, the Sider has made a home among the Gateways.
He can entwine his magical webs amongst the passageways of Gateways, so that whenever they are used, the victim or victims are transported not to their original destination, but to his realm. The Spider then hunts and feasts upon the victims' souls, leaving them as husks of their former selves. He can employ those husks as his own servants, often using them to lure yet more victims to his grasp.
In 791 AoS, the Spider God trapped a number of unsuspecting victims in his realm. Many souls were taken, and this event is now known to all in Ambria as Dark Winds. Several managed to figure out how to activate Gateways using magical keys, and escaped. A handful were left behind alive.
