King Ubline is murdered by the lone Vedalken the Hammer was tracking.

After a rather rowdy party put together by the lone Vedalken, the Hammer attempted to discover if there was any truth to the rumors of kidnapping and criminal activity that had been suspected of the Vedalken and were tricked by the traps of his manor. While they ended up doing battle against a young white dragon, the Vedalken: one of the lost forty, killed the king and leaked the rumor that the Hammer was responsible.   The Hammer gave chase so quickly that they were unable to clear their name and were long suspected to be guilty by the king's son and much of the country.
