Military action
The slaughtering of the infamous Dao cavalry troop, The Petralisks, lead to their departure from the realm, and the last time Genie of the realm has been sighted.
During the war between the Demons of Suh'laan and The Elves of East Riyu - known in the east as the 'War of Ants' - the Genies of Suh'laan allied with the Demons in their war. The dealings were headed by The Great Khan allegedly brokering a deal that would see the Dao receiving the lion's share of indentured Elven P.O.W's. Wha great many were hunted once the demons discovered their powerful magic in the form of wishes they can bestow. Many were tricked and enslaved to the Demons of Suh'laan despite being allies at the start of the war. Most notably was the betrayal of a Dao called Asha, The 'Stone Viper', at the hands of the Rakshasa, Kelkan Swordbreaker. At a pinnacle moment of the campaign, Asha, leading the "Petralisksa" a unit comprised of 1,500 Dao cavalry using greater basilisks for mounts, their objective was using the Daos command of earth, they were going to invade the backlines of the Elven defense at night, coming up from the ground behind their walls. Land battles had come to a halt once the Demons reached the heart of the woods, and with the aid of the Metallic dragons holding the flanks outside the Grove, the Dao was tasked with disrupting and lowering the gates to allow the main Demon army entry... As the Dao began their charge, Asha saw a high elf in the trappings of nobility, leaving quickly on Horseback towards the North, and as far as he could see an identical Elf waving him off - completely fearless or perhaps unaware. He turned his focus to the mission at hand, but the event nagging at him relentlessly, he was bucked by his mount, notoriously cantankerous was his Basilisk the one they call "the Stone Viper", this wasn't out of character. Asha was the only one able to ever ride him. At a massive 10 feet in length, twice the size of the next largest Basilisk, The Stone Viper was the king of the Snakes, only ever giving follow to Asha. However, it may seem this wasn't a buck of resistance, since as Asha was tossed aside before plunging into the ground with his unit, a rumbling began like no other. Some say it was the chanting of the elves alone that caused the quaking, for their most powerful spellcasters twist and turn the gravel and stone, whisking the Petralisks like battering pancakes. Volcanoes of guts and blood spewed from the crevices, as within minutes the whole unit was buried and entombed in their now graves - "By the Great Khan...How?! How did they kno-..." ... Then Asha recalled the twin elves... and the one seeing the other off, and his wave... something seemed off more so than the general fearlessness of the Elf that stayed... His hand! The hand he had waved with... his thumbs were backward...
