Jareth was a Ruffian and Thief in the city of Alshabay. growing up in the back alleys of the city, Jarreth had to steal and cheat to survive. The town guards were always on the look out for him, but his skills in evasion meant they very rarely could find him after a lengthy pursuit. As a teenager, Jareth joined a local gang, pulling off larger heists on the rich citizens of the city. it was one of these heists that resulted in most of the gang being captured or killed. Jareth Fled the city with mounted guards hot on his heels. no matter where he went, the household guard of the man he had burgled, were nearby. he finally realized, the gem they had stolen, which he still had was enchanted, and was telling those looking for him exactly hwere he was. He threw the gemstone into a fast flowing river and fled. several days passed as he wandered the wilderness, before arriving at a port city. without a coin to his name, he signed up with the Heritor, Helga Stormchild, as she was preparing to set sail on an expedition to the fabled Ghost Archipelago.
