Denden
Denden are a species derived from the Taladin long after the calamity. Unlike their relatives, the Denden were Taladin that were taken by rumors of deep things that were hidden in the mountains. Their obsessions led them to fall under the power of Guja who twisted and corrupted by greed. Predominantly living deep within the roots of the mountain. For many, the Denden is an unsettling sight, with many coming to the surface to escape from storms and dangers that threaten their hovels.

Anatomy
Denden share similar characteristics with the Taladin. The most notable exceptions is that the Denden tend to take more of a crouched walk over the upright positions. Their eyes are the palest shades of the color spectrum.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The Denden, as opposed to the Taladin, have a wider breath of diet. The Denden metabolize soft and hard foods, where hard foods might include bone, shell, or carapace. The Denden are also known to snack on dirt.
Biological Cycle
Denden reproduce following the same process as the Taladin. The notable difference is that the Denden perceive no difference between male or female. Often in the culture, marriage is superfluous, choosing to create offspring based on community needs. Otherwise, the pattern of life is equivalent to the Taladin.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
A unique sense for the Denden is the ability to discern rocks from gems. Even in the darkest lights, Denden have been able to see gems are though they are shining in the sun regardless of whether the gem has been cut. As miners, Denden have no parallel.
Similarly, the Denden are able to identify residual essence that may circulate with the geometric structures. One Denden accounts, "This dirt is alive. That dirt is dead. Don't eat that dirt." Simple words.
