House Embervol

One of the houses that holds a strong symbol of prestige, House Embervol bears the standing of a regal people who will never be conquered. Of all the houses in Mashangist, the Embervol constantly adorns weapons and armor. They are rarely seen without their armor, if not dress in their ornamental clothing. It is commonly regarded that House Embervol acts as the executors of order of the Judge of Mashangist. House Embervol maintains the internal security, including the protection of the House of the Lords. As the conditions in Mashangist begin to boil, House Embervol acts as a balancer. Presiding also over the military in congress with House Remus, House Embervol is tasked with protecting the borders and infrastructure of the country itself.

Structure

The House Lord presides over the service of the house. Beneath the House Lord is the House Halflord. The Halflord oversees the administration of the House Adjuncts. The House Adjuncts must be paid by the House Lord in which they are serving, but are hired by other houses. The sole-purpose of a House Adjunct is to take notes and report to their hiring house. A house adjunct serves to make record of the actions and meetings within each house. While a house may elect not to have a House Adjunct serving within other houses, they must have a certain number House Adjunct present at the House of the Lords at any given time. This is to ensure the transmission of notes and summons to the House Lord at any given time. The number of House Adjuncts required has changed as Mashangist has grown, currently requiring three House Adjuncts. Beneath the Halflord is the Butler. These fulfill the requirements of the the House Lord to the House of Lord.   Within House Embervol is a series of regional authorities that report directly to the House Halflord. The House Halflord presents the most pressing issues to the House Lord where direct action is needed. These regional authorities are the regional officers. Under the regional officers are the territorial officers. Regional officers have several territorial officers that each have hundreds of soldiers under their perview. The territorial officers are mainly tasked with supporting settlements during conflicts, resolving large disputes, and preventing incursions into Mashangist from hostile bodies. The soldiers that serve under the territorial officers are largely divided into recruits, ranked soldiers, and the honor guard.   House Embervol employs a bursar to manage the distribution of wages to the soldiers, requesting funds directly from the Judge. Apart from those funds are the funds of House Embervol. The House of the Lords sends a Treasure Master whenever a distribution of funds is performed to House Embervol. The Treasure Master brings tens of Counters to ensure the proper assessments are made. House Embervol provides an equal number of Counters in a tiring show of manpower.   Other offices within House Embervol include the provisioner. The provisioner communicates with merchants to maintain an accounting of the supply of food to the military. This is supported by the Long Provisioners that serve to maintain the flow and report problems to the Territorial Officer. The Territorial Officer relays this to the Halflord. The Halflord requests information from the Provisioner. The Provisioner reports findings to the Halflord. If the issue requires further attention, the House Lord will intervene.

Culture

House Embervol handedly employs the most people of all of the houses within the House of the Lords. As such, the members of the military often see themselves as House Embervol. However, the presiding authorities of the house vary in the mannerisms significantly differently from the perception made of the infantry. House Embervol is full of harden individuals who believe that the time will come when a reckoning will return to Mashangist. As such, House Embervol is a cautious but assertive people that often assume the worst in the actions of the other houses. However, when facing the public, House Embervol is one of the most benevolent. To them, the public is why they serve. As a custom, any candidate seeking admission into House Embervol is given a station. While this will often mean being sent into the far territories, anyone may enter into the house.
