Irim

Irim were derived from the Taladin during the events of the calamity. While many of the Taladin were left in disarray, there were those that sought to understand Osgolip and the hordes. These believed that the fiends resembled the "agony of one who has lost." Seeking out Osgolip, several Taladin entered into the Plane of Agony to find Osgolip in rage. Instead of destroying the Taladin that entered, Osgolip saw Shodar within them. Seeking his blessing, the Taladin were transfigured, sprouting horns from their heads and tails from their back. This is said to be a challenge to Tala and Shuna, that "my children shall dine in the world and none shall overcome them."   The origins of the Tiefling are connected with those that besieged the Ashun on behalf of Osgolip. As Osgolip originally created the Shodar and the Ashun, Osgolip was believed to be their original patron whereas Tala sought to beguile the children of Osgolip. When the battles raged, Osgolip bestowed gifts upon the Ashun that followed him. As the chaos surged within him, a taste of corruption transfigured them partially into the form of fiends. After the conflict, members of the these Ashun were stranded across Uinsil. In time, they would find themselves among almost every settlement.
